Palette of Hyrule

"Palette of Hyrule" is a Sundelion x Mizuhiki collection I designed to capture various locations and emotions in Hyrule, drawing inspiration from the circular motifs found throughout the game Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

“Mellie’s Plum Garden” was the first concept came to mind. In Kakariko Village, there’s a lovely plum garden surrounded by fences, and Mellie, the elderly Sheikah lady, is very serious about not jumping into it. But if I continue breaking her rule, she will be furious and calling Link (me) IDIOT, followed by a story of how plum trees are crucial to the village. So, I decided to honor her by creating a garden with plum flowers, fire fruits, warm safflinas, and, of course, sundelions right in the middle.

“Faron Rainforest”, where raindrops are constant cormpanions, is such a place with wonders: lush jungle canopies, towering cliffs, quirky plants, mysterious creatures… Just when I’m lost in the landscape or zooming in to study some strange looking plants, I’m always struck by electrifying surprises, from electric keese, or electric lizalfos, or lightening… To capture this not so pleasant zapping experience, I’ve incorporated the electric safflinas and shock fruits into my pieces.

“Lurelin reef”,after fighting the pirates and helping in the restoration of Lurelin Village, there’s nothing quite like a leisurely swim in its serene waters. The gentle melody, the shimmering sea under the sunlight blending shades of blue and green, and the crystal-clear water revealing breathtaking coral reefs — all of it makes me want to enhance the vivid colors even more, then without a second thought, I decided to incorporate the vibrant splash fruits and blue nightshades into my pieces.

“Skull Lake”, while first peering into Skull Lake, I feared these gigantic purple creatures would attack me, and was truly frightened when I accidentally tumbled into the lake. Though I’m now brave enough to get my hands on them, this bone-chilling sensation persists. To captured such eerie feelings, cold safflinas and ice fruits are just perfect!
